COMPAS Charity has started a new project called Extended Hand, funded by Lottery Funding (Awards For All).

The project will aim to offer practical help to communities across the UK to set their own community groups, charities or CICs, to provide services for their local communities. We will assist them in creating the organisation, running the organisation, applying for funding and act as their mentors.

So far (February 2023), we have engaged and assisted with communities and organisations in:

• Bradford x 2
• Middlesbrough x 1
• Peterborough x 2
• Margate x 2
• Cardiff x 1

We also aim to produce a toolkit by end of this project to assist people thinking to set their own community group.
